Tom crafts new career at Springhill

The lifestyle support team at Springhill Care Home in Accrington has expanded with the appointment of Tom Moss.

 

Tom joins the home as a lifestyle support worker, and becomes a key member of staff at Springhill.

 

The lifestyle support team assists residents at the home to engage in meaningful and constructive activities which might include anything from continuing to enjoy hobbies to taking trips to local attractions.

 

Tom, of Accrington, boasts a number of skills in arts and crafts, including the unusual art of finger knitting – knitting without traditional needles.

 

He has already played a key role in establishing the home’s latest venture, known as Everything stops for Tea, designed to be a facility where residents can enjoy afternoon tea in a newly opened tea room.

 

Tom said: “The lifestyle support team plays a vital role in the lives of our residents and I’m looking forward to helping make a real difference to their lives.”
